Hubway: Making Boston Bikeable for Harriman

Many of Harriman’s urban design and planning projects focus on the importance of walkable and bikeable cities as a way to reduce congestion, reduce negative environmental impacts, and improve people’s health. As part of Harriman’s commitment to walkable and bikeable cities, Harriman offers its Boston based employees a free membership to Hubway, Boston’s bike sharing system. Walking and using Hubway in place of driving relieves traffic congestion, reduces local air pollution, improves traffic safety, and increases physical activity. For Harriman, Hubway helps the company practice sustainability while relieving stress and encouraging good health.
